The Friday before Labor Day, the kids and I went shopping with Gramma. We had a very nice shopping trip and Madelyn got another disney play dress -- this time she insisted on Alice in Wonderland. Here is a picture of her in the dress (sorry it isn't the best...)
So later that same weekend, Scott and I took the kids to Woodfield. We stopped at Chevy's for some lunch (and had a pleasant surprise of running into Auntie Mary and Uncle Tony!) This was also the first time we went out into public with Madelyn without a diaper. She did great! :)
When we went to Woodfield, we went to Build-A-Bear. Madelyn proceeded to get a teddy bear with hearts dressed up as the Little Mermaid (big surpise). Joshy ended up getting a dinosaur that growls -- and of course he is scared of the dinosaur when it growls. Silly boy -- he picked it out. Here are some pictures from our day:
Joshy sure had fun giving Madelyn's teddy bear and his dinosaur a "bubble bath"!
Madelyn was a bit intimidated by the noise that the bubble bath machine made, so she just looked on.
Madelyn giving her new Ariel bear a hug!
NOOOOO get that scary dinosaur away from me!
So this summer, we got Madelyn this pretty nifty princess bike. She certainly loves to ride it!!
So on to MKB's birthday! First, we missed all of our out of town relatives -- we appreciate you thinking of the little princess on her birthday and for the presents. :) We are sorry you couldn't join us for some princess castle cake!
So her birthday weekend really started on Friday when Gramma and mommy took the kids to Chuck E. Cheese. Mommy didn't have her camera so we will wait for Gramma to send pictures. But it was a nice time and Chuck E. Cheese even came out to sing happy birthday!
Saturday was of course the big day. She woke up to presents from mommy and daddy -- An American Girl Bitty Baby with some matching clothes. She named her doll "Stacy". She seems to really enjoy it.
The party was the evening at Gramma and Grandpa's. Here are some pictures....thank you to everyone who celebrated with us....

Love the princess cake! I'm glad that she had a good bithday--wish we could've been there. We're looking forward to seeing you all soon!
We had so much fun at Madelyn's party, playing with the dolls and eating princess cake! :) We will have to make another date to meet at Chevy's - planned next time, of course!
